BLADERLAB

The short version

  • Your decks, combos, and battle records stay in your browser (local storage) — we don't collect them.
  • If you create an account, we store your email and password via our authentication provider.
  • We use cookieless analytics (PostHog) to count page views. It sets no cookies and does not follow you across days. We don't use ads or AI. This notice will update if that changes.
  • We don't sell your data.
  • You can contact us anytime with questions or requests about your data.
  • Full details are in the sections below.

This Privacy Notice explains how BladerLab (operated by Nelo) ("BladerLab," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, protects, and otherwise processes personal information when you use the BladerLab website, application, and related services.

BladerLab respects your privacy and aims to handle personal information responsibly and transparently.

If you do not agree with the practices described in this Privacy Notice, please discontinue your use of BladerLab where applicable.

1. Personal Information We May Collect

Depending on the features you use, BladerLab may collect different categories of information.

A. Account Information

If you create an account, we collect:

  • Email address
  • Password or authentication credentials
  • Account preferences

We only collect information that is reasonably necessary for the relevant feature.

B. Decks, Combinations, and Battle Records

Beyblade combinations, deck configurations, battle records, simulation settings, and similar data you create in BladerLab are stored locally in your browser (localStorage) on your device. This information is not sent to or collected by BladerLab today. If a future feature (for example, syncing decks to your account) changes this, this notice will be updated before that feature ships.

C. Technical Information

When you access BladerLab, our hosting provider may automatically log technical information such as:

  • IP address
  • Browser type
  • Device type
  • Operating system
  • Pages or features accessed
  • Date and time of access
  • Referring pages
  • Error and diagnostic information

D. Usage Information

BladerLab uses PostHog to collect anonymous usage information, such as the pages you view. See Section 5 for details. Beyond that, we do not collect usage information other than what your browser or our hosting provider logs by default.

2. How We Use Personal Information

BladerLab may use personal information for purposes including:

  • Creating and managing accounts
  • Providing requested services
  • Maintaining and improving BladerLab
  • Monitoring system performance
  • Detecting and preventing abuse, fraud, and security incidents
  • Communicating with users
  • Responding to support requests
  • Maintaining service security
  • Complying with legal obligations
  • Enforcing our Terms and Conditions

We process personal information only for legitimate and appropriate purposes consistent with applicable law.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

Where required by applicable law, BladerLab will rely on an appropriate legal basis for processing personal information.

Depending on the circumstances, this may include:

  • Your consent
  • Performance of a contract or provision of a requested service
  • Compliance with a legal obligation
  • Protection of legitimate interests
  • Other lawful bases recognized by applicable law

Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw your consent where permitted by law. Withdrawal does not necessarily affect processing that occurred before consent was withdrawn.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

BladerLab uses your account session (via our authentication provider) and browser local storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and maintain functionality. BladerLab does not currently set non-essential tracking or advertising cookies. Our analytics runs in a cookieless mode: it sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.

Where required by applicable law, we will obtain appropriate consent before using any non-essential cookies or similar technologies in the future.

You may be able to control cookies through your browser or device settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect BladerLab functionality.

5. Analytics

BladerLab uses PostHog, a third-party product analytics service, to understand which pages and features are used so we can improve BladerLab.

PostHog may receive:

  • Page address and referring page
  • Browser, device type, and operating system
  • Approximate location derived from your IP address
  • Date and time of each page view

Analytics runs in a cookieless mode. It sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and does not build a persistent profile or follow you across days. Session recording is not used. Your decks, combos, and battle records are not sent to PostHog.

If we change what analytics collects, this notice will be updated.

6. Artificial Intelligence and Automated Processing

BladerLab does not currently use artificial intelligence or automated processing to generate results. The battle simulator uses deterministic, stat-based calculations only.

If AI-assisted features are introduced in the future, this notice will be updated to describe how they work, what information they process, and any third-party AI providers involved.

7. Sharing of Personal Information

BladerLab does not sell personal information.

We may share personal information with service providers when reasonably necessary for legitimate purposes, including:

  • Hosting providers
  • Analytics providers
  • Database providers
  • Authentication providers
  • Email providers
  • Security providers
  • Technical service providers
  • Professional advisers
  • Government authorities or law-enforcement agencies when legally required

We aim to limit information shared with service providers to what is reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.

8. International Data Transfers

Some BladerLab service providers may process information outside the Philippines. Our analytics provider, PostHog, processes data in the United States.

Where personal information is transferred to another country, BladerLab will take reasonable measures to protect the information and comply with applicable privacy laws and requirements.

The privacy protections applicable to your information may differ depending on the country where processing occurs.

9. Data Retention

BladerLab retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

Retention periods may depend on:

  • The type of information
  • The purpose for which it was collected
  • Whether your account remains active
  • Legal and regulatory requirements
  • Security and dispute-resolution requirements

When information is no longer required, BladerLab will take reasonable steps to delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it, subject to applicable legal requirements.

10. Data Security

BladerLab uses reasonable technical, organizational, and administrative measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, loss, or destruction.

However, no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.

You are also responsible for protecting your account credentials and notifying BladerLab if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

  • Be informed about how your personal information is processed

  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Request deletion or blocking of personal information where legally applicable

We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.

12. Children's Privacy

BladerLab is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children in circumstances where such collection is prohibited by applicable law.

Where parental or guardian consent is legally required for the collection of a child's personal information, BladerLab will seek to comply with those requirements.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to BladerLab without the required authorization, please contact us so that we can review the situation and take appropriate action.

13. Third-Party Websites and Services

BladerLab may contain links to third-party websites or services.

BladerLab is not responsible for the privacy practices, content, security, or policies of third-party services.

You should review the privacy notices of third parties before providing them with personal information.

14. Data Breach and Security Incidents

If BladerLab becomes aware of a personal data breach or security incident involving personal information, we will assess the incident and take appropriate measures as required by applicable law.

Where notification is legally required, we will provide the appropriate notifications to affected individuals and/or relevant authorities within the applicable timeframe.

15. Philippine Data Privacy Act

Where applicable, BladerLab will handle personal information in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its implementing rules and regulations.

BladerLab will apply appropriate principles concerning transparency, legitimate purpose, proportionality, and other requirements applicable to the processing of personal information.

16. Changes to This Privacy Notice

BladerLab may update this Privacy Notice from time to time to reflect:

  • Changes to the service
  • Changes to our data practices
  • New technologies
  • Legal or regulatory developments
  • Other operational requirements

When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date and may provide additional notice where appropriate.

17. Complaints

If you have concerns about how your personal information is being handled, we encourage you to contact BladerLab first so that we can investigate and address the concern.

You may also have the right to file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission of the Philippines or another applicable data protection authority, subject to the requirements of applicable law.
